About Orbit Studios

Orbit started because a friend of mine, Gavin, was drowning. He runs his own freelance design and marketing work, and I watched him try to keep clients, tasks and invoices straight across a handful of apps that didn't talk to each other. Nothing was wrong with any single tool. The problem was the gaps between them, and how much of his week went into holding those gaps together by memory.

So I built him something better. Orbit brings clients, projects, time tracking, retainers, invoices and a branded client portal into one place, built specifically for agencies and freelancers of one to ten people rather than the two hundred person firms most agency software is priced for.

I'm Nieve, and I build Orbit alongside a full time job, mostly in the evenings and at weekends. I used Lovable and Claude Code to build it, and I'm upfront about that. What I didn't outsource is the thinking: every feature in Orbit came from a real problem Gavin or I ran into, not a features list I thought sounded good. Gavin has been the first real user since the beginning, and a lot of what's here exists because he pushed back on an earlier version until it actually worked for how he runs his business.

Orbit is still small. There's no support team, no sales calls, no enterprise contract. If you email, you're emailing me, and I read every message myself, usually within a day.

If that sounds like the kind of tool you'd rather use than the five apps you're currently holding together, I'd love for you to give it a try.
